NYC bombing suspect arrested. He is an American “citizen” from Pakistan (his wife is back in Pakistan). He was trying to leave the country getting on a plane at JFK. He’s been living in Bridgeport Connecticut, and the USA today story mentions an address in Shelton, CT (the next town over from here)….
No word yet on whether Attorney General Holder is ready to concede that this was a terrorist act or what role “racial profiling” played in this arrest.
How they connected the dots – the person who sold him the Pathfinder – a woman (seller’s wife?) had his cell phone number in her cell phone – it turned out to be a disposable cell phone – but when you buy one of those, you still have to present ID…. that told them who had bought the vehicle. They found his other vehicle sitting in a parking lot at JFK. His plane was already taxiing for takeoff, and they returned the plane to the gate to arrest him. He apparently has already admitted to doing it. Fox News is reporting a related arrest in Pakistan, but no details. He had been in Pakistan for 5 months – he bought the vehicle 3 weeks ago, so keep that in mind as regards a motive…
One source says that the house in Shelton was in foreclosure – great, we’re giving away government backed mortgages to help Pakistani terrorists live here while they plan their attacks….
Local media is reporting that he was a graduate from University of Bridgeport – so we not only gave him his house, we provided him with an education.
News out today was that he traveled back and forth btwn Pakistan and the US 13 or 14 times.
Would it be considered racial profiling if we looked into ANYONE who was flying back and forth that much to ANY Mideast country?
