A few hours ago, a man in Carlsbad, California dressed in black carrying a Jackolantern opened fire on 1st graders in a school playground with a .357 gun (first reports are often wrong. He also had a can of gasoline and a propane tank.
The suspect was tackled by construction workers who administered “street justice”. One report said he was in his 40s or 50s – another report says he is a white man in his 20s, but no name released. “White” can cover a lot of territory.
Shooting random children to create fear is right out of the Alex Jones “What they’re going to do next to get martial law” playbook. Is there an election any time soon?
It’s now been about 12 hours. Suspect is named Brendan L. O’Rourke. He’s 41. Police are discounting earlier reports that he was yelling something about President Obama. He may have been from Illinois originally and he scared his neighbors with his angry outbursts.
The oddest thing about this story is with a .357 at close range he didn’t seriously injure anyone. The two girls were apparently hit by shrapnel.
Thank God he didn’t hit anyone, but that doesn’t mean these children weren’t injured psychologically.
What a terrible experience for these children to go thru.
Maybe he thought shooting children was a free speech matter? Maybe staking him over an ant hill in Texas is too….

The additional details out there now – he was living in a one bedroom apartment that he was being evicted from. His downstairs neighbor played gospel music loud enough to provoke him to stomp on the floor. On the way out, he spray painted the walls with “Destroy Christians”
He had fired the 6 bullets from his .357 gun, but the gun jammed when he atempted to reload. Not being that familiar with guns, I’ve read that a .357 can fire 38 shells, but you can’t use an autoloader to reload the gun and it will jam if you try.
