Why is that significant? WTDY-AM is located in Madison, Wisconsin.
Glenn was not exaggerating when he said “I’m surprised we lasted this long”. The show wasn’t even carried live, giving the station the opportunity to have “technical problems” to quietly dump something the station didn’t like. It takes a strong will for a radio station to operate in a “company town” and be critical of the major employer. You won’t find a lot of criticism if US car makers on WJR in Detroit.
Glenn was on for two hours – one hour is now a local guy – the other hour is going to the politically neutered America’s Radio News Network.
The other talk radio station in town is owned by Clear Channel. I’m thinking Glenn won’t be absent for long.
Paging Robert Wuhl, your web site is down.
Robert Wulh has a 3 hour sports talk show on WTDY – I discovered only today that his show is syndicated by Westwood One (aka CBS) – the syndication started in January, but I know of no affiliates and his web site is down while the show is on.
WTDY’s largest stockholder is a man named Phil Fisher, who is a Sales person in the Wisconsin Broadcasting hall of fame
