Carrying money onto a plane isn’t illegal… if you have a long memory, you may remember the TSA giving Rep Ron Paul’s assistant an abusive inquiry when he refused to discuss why he was carrying $4,700 in cash onto an airplane.
Following a challenge by the ACLU, the TSA has now instructed their inspectors that the scope of their searches is limited to those things that endanger flight security, not fishing expeditions for possible illegal activity.
