Rush’s GM problem… one of the polls from several months ago was “Why is GM advertising on Right Wing Radio”. Most people answered “to sell cars”. At the time I wrote that question, my belief was they were doing it primarily to “tie up” right wing radio so they wouldn’t oppose a government bailout. Looks like I was right. GM is opening the floodgates of ad revenue now from the $30 billion in TARP money. Clear Channel desperately needs cash. Rush is in a very difficult situation now – can he find a way to support GM, but not support the bailout? You take people’s money, you take their strings.
