WTDA-FM bucks the trend – this suburban Columbus OH FM station is leaving News/Talk and reverting back to Classic HIts music – they were doing News/Talk with the second string – Dennis Miller, Jerry Doyle, Phil Hendrie, Dan Patrick, Dave Ramsey and Savage – and morning drive was Mark the Shark.
Among the folks they had tried at various times and dropped were JT the Brick, Laura Ingraham, Mancow, Glenn Beck and Dr Laura, Before switching to news/talk, they had carried Bob & Tom.
Sounds to me like someone decided they needed to be News/Talk without wanting it to be a success. The station is a weak class A (5300 watts) located on the fringe of Columbus and doesn’t even cover the entire city with a local signal
