Author Steven King’s WZON-FM in Maine switched Monday from sports to “the pulse”, a so-called Progressive Talk station – driven by Mr King’s politics, not market forces. The station slogan is “a new voice, a new choice”.

The station does not stream, but if it did you would be hearing the new voices of Joey Reynolds, Bill Press,Ron Reagan, Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes and Stephanie Miller.

The station is hoping to start a local show, so if you’re living in Maine and are a transgender lesbian from Venezuela, you might want to give them a call, unless Olympia Snowe becomes available first.

Well, he does own the station. Who knows? Maybe when the local sports folks get up and listen to this. They will go crazy and join a Tea Party.

I think the most telling thing about this is if you visit the web site, the purpose of this switch in formats is to “enlighten” the people living in the area. I’ve never been to Maine…. I wonder how that global warming thing is working out there…

It must be nice to have enough money you can own a radio station that you can program it with what you want, not to generate income…:) God Bless America (and capitalism)!!!!

I’ve often wondered what would happen to the lefties who have made millions upon millions in the entertainment industry if they came to the realization that in a communist/socialist economy, they would not make much more than the illegal immigrant workers who clean and do the landscaping work on their McMansion….
