Math is not Rush’s strongest talent – I only heard a few minutes today, but he was making the same point I made a few days ago – President Obama is further into his 1st term than Bush was when 9/11 happened (connect the dots)… Rush said “Bush had only been in charge for 11 months”… September is the ninth month. January 20th to September 11th is 9 days short of 8 months.
So let’s assume he meant “since he was elected in November”… the EIB memory diviision reminds Rush that because of the closeless of the vote in 2000, the GSA refused to release the funding and office space for the Transition Staff because of the court challenges until December 13th, 2000, cutting more than a month out of the time for President Elect Bush to do the work of preparing to run the country..
