How do you choose which radio stations to list? May we suggest stations to list?

If the station has an FCC license (an over the air station), it is already listed. If it is not a U.S. based station or is “internet only”, it isn’t listed.
Individual programs only remain in the directory as long as a volunteer or a visitor clicks on “It worked” at least every month or so to confirm the listing is still accurate. The objective is not to fill up the directory with every show on every station – only those that someone actually shows an interest in listening to. That means very few local programs are listed, as the people who are looking for them go right to the station web site, not google.
Since you’re probably in Arizona (I think), I guess I need to mention my “No Arizona” rule. As you would be painfully aware, Arizona does not follow Daylight Saving Time. This forces the AZ stations to make changes every time DST starts or ends, because from the perspective of Arizona, the syndicated programs moved, but the local shows do not generally move.
Unfortuntately, radio stations in AZ often don’t adjust their web schedules on a timely basis, then if I haven’t through some magical insight adjusted the schedules here by Monday, I get deluged with complaints and error reports as if I don’t know about the issue with Arizona. By the time all of the programs are tested and made right, it’s time to change them again. So about two years ago, I gave up in frustration and no longer list any program schedules for stations in Arizona. This also theoretically affects Guam, Samoa, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. I think there may be one station in Hawaii I still list, but it only carries syndicated programs.
Hey, thanks for clearing that up.. if I had taken the time to read the legends I probably would have figured it out.
I’m actually glad that AZ doesn’t change time. Some say it’s because we aren’t smart enough to get it right every single year… but I happen to think that the rest of the country should not do DST.
Just my two cents
Thanks again
