A letter purporting to be from an American soldier serving in Iraq to a blog in Denmark. If genuine, this man has a lot to say that is worth considering.

It’s enough “over the top” to make me question if it is authentic – Denmark is where the front line is. Given the EU’s rules about prohibited speech, it could just be a device to express an opinion by attributing to a third party, or it might even be bait to lure people who share the opinion to compile a list of “dangerous ideas people” to watch.
If it is genuine, then we have a rocky road ahead. After 9/11, many people seemed uncomfortable the degree to which President Bush went out of his way to make sure we all understood that 9/11 had nothing to do with Islam and there would be severe consequences to anyone who said otherwise, 1st amendment not withstanding…
