This sounds like a rhetorical question, but I”ll play along :)

It sounds like you’re probably talking about Pat Kiley, who hosted a program called “Follow the Money”, including on Christian radio stations.

He and his partners were charged by the SEC with running a $160 million ponzi scheme in November 2009. So far, there are no criminal charges filed – the SEC and CFTC are involved initially to Follow the Money and see where it went and make sure it didn’t run off somewhere…. the SEC got an order to establish a Receiver to track down, seize and sell assets that were apparently purchased with money taken from the firm.

About two weeks ago, the younger man was put in jail after it was discovered that he had undeclared assets and was withdrawing large amounts of money to purchase gift cards… News Story

It’s an ongoing investigation, so I don’t think we know all the details yet….

I had heard his show twice and made notes here… the first one shows you what I thought of his knowledge of the business…. :) Darn, that international banking cabal has spies everywhere.

Yeah, Pat Kiley! (follow the money, troofseekers)

damn, Art – you know everything in radio….i was kind of sad when that show disappeared because it was hilarious, the entertainment factor was high…i remember the first week his show was gone and i searched for his website on the internet and instead of 404 or something, it redirected right back to google.com, which i thought was strange…and that story says Kiley was a just “radio pitchman” while the Cook guy was the investment specialist, which is interesting as Kiley was touting himself as the legendary investor iirc and i dont remember the other fellow ever being mentioned on the show, so app. Kiley was a total fraud….i liked his anti-gov’t tirades though, he would have fit well with some of my other favorite hosts like Bill Wattenburg…
