How many people in syndicated AM radio are younger than 50? – looking at the list of the top 250, it looks to me like the answer is “Almost none”. I don’t know that this is new, but it’s a very clear pattern. Wilkow left to go to Sirius / XM… Ingraham is 46ish, Stephanie Miller is 49ish, Mancow is 44ish, Jason Lewis is in his 40s (I think),

You missed a couple of big ones: Hannity is 48 and Beck just turned 46 a couple weeks ago.
There’s also Ben Ferguson, who is a mere 28 years old.
Scarborough is also 46… it seems to me that there are a lot under 50, but a lot fewer under 40. I think part of that is due to the nature of the beast– in order to get stations to broadcast you nationwide you have to build a strong résumé first, either through local radio or other punditry.
Sort of a followup – in January in Chicago, WLS with Don Wade & Roma finished #1 overall, but #12 in The 18-54 age group – that means a huge imbalance that 55+ listeners are listening to AM in large numbers, but younger people are not listening to radio
The subtext is the 80+ year old “greatest generation” FDR followers that were the core of WGN’s audience are no longer there.

I enjoyed John and Cisco on WIND during that slot, but it’s just John now and I’m not down. I used to listen to Don and Roma way back in the 90’s (in my 20’s), but it was a little too much typical morning shtick.
