I’m an insider that is going to allow my status to lapse…. Glenn is probably more right than wrong but the constant self promotion, the abused ‘teaser’ method of sales has become ho-hum. It took me a while to figure out (not the sharpest knife in the drawer) that if you listen to these people you don’t need the books, CD, special shows, insider bs, or even extra special insider with whipped cream on top.
I’m not, just the reading list from the show is expensive enough. If I’m correct in what I heard yesterday. the new price will be about $60 a year? Ingraham & Limbaugh’s are $50, Jerry Doyle a bargain at only $30.
Constant promotion does get tiresome and does turn me off. One reason I don’t listen to Ingraham anymore, she promotes her dopey website ever five minutes during her show. And when you break it down, what’s the difference between her site and Doyle’s?
I think Glenn’s momentum may have peaked. I listen to him and Doyle because they shine a light on some things that escape MSM and even Drudge. But to consider him a standard-bearer? Not so much. Palin is seemingly losing momentum too. That Family Guy episode was a trap into which she stepped. It gets hard to decry the Down’s Syndrome storyline when the vocal talents were provided by a Down’s Syndrome actress, who told Palin to lighten up. I know I’m on a tangent now. Watch Pence, Cantor, and Kirk in the House. The Senate is less than inspiring, and I got burned out watching so many senators jockey for POTUS in 2008. There. I’m done.
Doyle is my Beck replacement of sorts, to me Doyle is funnier and more focused. He does sneek repeat segments without announcement.
I’m with you there. Doyle’s show is high-energy and fast-paced. His Wall St. background doesn’t hurt when he talks about the economy. Plus, I was a huge B5 fan.
Having allowed some time to pass, I’ll throw in my two cents. This is *way* over the top…. it’s gonna have about 3 subscribers. What kind of person would really want to pay money to see Pat and Stu do their show prep? Me thinks they are getting a bit full of themselves….
