Radio-info.com indicates that a new local program will start on WRKO on next Monday
I stand corrected, it doesn’t start until Monday. I misread the news story.
RKO is announcing the Charlie Manning (not the baseball player) Show beginning on Monday, the 8th. He’s a Republican strategist who did a lot of commentary on WBZ radio. He could develop an audience in Boston…but Boston only.
There is something happening out in Portland Oregon to keep your eyes on – Entercom has taken the guy who used to run Citadel to court for hiring one of their employees who had been forced to sign a non-compete contract – this is a sales guy, not an on-air personality like Howie Carr (and the situation is a little different)… Still it will be interesting to see if Entercom prevails
