Another McClatchy story about evil Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck – accusing them of being cruel to the 11 year old orphan whose mother died from an unusual medical condition, not the Democrats for exploiting him as a kiddie shield to promote their legislative agenda.
And neither of them even asked how old she was when he (and her other two children) were conceived, and why their father(s) wasn’t there to help her or her parents or her church or…
Continuing my insensitivity, reading up on what pulmonary hypertension is and what causes it – especially in a 27 year old. The disease is basically backpressure in the lungs- blood goes through your heart, over to your lungs in the pulmonary arteries, then back to the heart and then out to the body. Pulmonary hypertension means the lungs are not allowing the blood to flow through easily – because they are obstructed or because blood isn’t flowing out of the lungs back to the heart. Because of this obstruction, the side of the heart pumping towards the lungs gets overworked and enlarges.
The most normal cause of this is COPD (emphysema in the good old days) , blood clots, lupus… and then the choices get more interesting…. HIV…. or “some street drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamines can cause severe pulmonary hypertension”.
Oh my.
