…wow. On one hand, I’m astonished that one can be so oblivious to the difference between a willing phishing attempt and an outright hack. Antivirus software will not protect you from that.
On the other hand, look at this reporter’s background: among her former jobs include fashion designer and Cigar Dave dame. That’s not exactly a good journalistic background. A quick look indicates most of the other station’s hires aren’t quite so bad, but I have to wonder how she got through the cracks. Sexism, perhaps?
This isn’t an “error”, but an observation…. the phishing email purporting to be from hotmail asked her to enter her email address. Never underestimate how little people think about what they do…
I had only read the article – I hadn’t looked at the video or read her background. Has any TV station yet tried doing local news with the blond women in bikinis or would that be going too far?
Naked News up in Canada sort of does that, but 1) it’s on the Internet and 2) they’re in Canada. I was always amused at how seriously they took their “work”
WOW. People should really be smarter than the equipment that they work with, I wonder if there might be some type of Darwin Award for this woman.
