FCC Chairman Genachowski at the NAB convention. From what I read, it sounds like there was complete silence during his entire keynote address. Not even polite applause.
If you have 2.9 GB of bandwidth to burn, here is the video:

For those who aren’t aware, Mr Genachowski was a classmate of Barack Obama and worked with him editing the Harvard Law Journal. He has made it clear he wants to “redistribute spectrum” and repurpose much of it away from TV to facilitate his vision of wireless (and wired) broadband internet access to every home and every car and every phone – which basically means the end of Radio as we know it.
You know – it was TV and Radio who sat on their asses in 2008 and closed their eyes to the ascendancy of Barack Obama. What the hell were they thinking – did they think socialists don’t target rich people if they’re in the media? One of the first things Hugo Chavez did was shut down all his media opposition and start jailing those who spoke out against him….
Good thing that can never happen in the United States.
