Arizona has signed a law permitting Conc…

Arizona has signed a law permitting Concealed Carry of firearms without a permit process. If you can legally own a gun, you can carry it on your person without it being in plain sight. Alaska and Vermont(!) are the other two states that have such “liberal” laws. The law goes into effect in about 4 months (giving the ACLU time to find a friendly judge to overturn the law as “unconstitutional” since it doesn’t allow illegal aliens to carry guns)

The bill was supported by the labor unions representing police officers. It was initially opposed by the Chiefs of Police, who backed off on their opposition, but do not support it.

Citizens can still request a permit, which can be useful because some states have reciprocal laws for permits

  1. WesternMA says:

I don’t see a problem with the new law…it’s certainly not a problem in Vermont. All Permit to Carry laws will still be in force, the only difference will be that there will be no distinction between open and concealed carry. Because the current laws require that a person be lawfully in the US, I doubt the ACLU will have a leg to stand on.
