Who pays the ratings agency? Senator Levin (D-MI) asks how it can possibly be reasonable that financial services firms pay fees to fund the agencies that rate their debt (Moodys, etc…)
Interesting question – why doesn’t the same issue apply to Arbitron and Radio? How would Arbitron be different if it was the advertisers who were paying Arbitron’s fees to rate radio stations?
