This is very odd – the U.S. Commander of military assets in Iraq and Afghanistan has declared that the guy in Times Square was a “lone wolf” acting alone. The General is in the military, not the FBI, Homeland Security or the NYPD – he is about as far away from actual information as a person could get. He’s asserted a negative – that the bomber didn’t cooperate with people back in Pakistan, when he has already admitted that and his travel history strongly supports that.
Asserting a negative (“X did not happen”) is close to unprovable, unless you know something else that is an alternative explanation.
