I want to be on this jury – up in Seymour, Connecticut. The story starts with a repo man showing up at a house to take back a car, which is parked inside the garage. When the owner doesn’t answer the door [guess], the repo man calls the police. The police arrive, see the owner inside the house. [assumption: he doesn’t answer the door]. The police have no warrant, there has been no criminal act committed, there is no evidence that anyone is in danger. On the excuse of checking on the welfare of the person inside, the police break down the garage door and the front door. The homeowner has a kitchen knife in his hand and the police draw their guns on him. They then demand he present ID to prove he is the owner of the house.
The police and city are not responding to press inquiries. He is only suing for $15,000
