Mark Larsen is on Stitcher – if you have a smart phone, give it a look. Stitcher is being incorporated into Ford products – you don’t have to know anything about RSS or XML – you just select a program, add it as a favorite and it’s just there when you want to listen. Between stitcher and iTunes, I haven’t felt a need to turn on a radio in about a month. Whoever gets built into the car dashboard will be the replacement for radio. People won’t keep putting up with 20 minutes/hr lecturing us about our lives, scaring us into being passive sheep, selling worthless investments, promoting bogus herbal cures and disseminating government propoganda – and then washing your hands of moral responsibility by running disclaimers saying you aren’t responsible for your programming decisions. Your time is up.
I’ve always viewed this streaming guide as the transition to something else, not the end game. People buying government issued licenses in order to disseminate government authorized “truth” is a business model with a limited future competing with the Internet.
