Newburgh, NY – the day after the NY Times ran a story describing how drug gangs have taken over the city on the Hudson River north of New York City, the Feds launch a massive roundup of the Latin Kings and Blood gang members. The raids involved 500 police in a town of 29,000 people.
So did the Feds respond to the embarrassment created by the NY Times, or did the NY Times know the raid was about to happen and wanted to tip off the gang leaders to get out of town – or was it just a coincidence?
