Who controls the world… around $360 TRILLION in financial transactions (loans and derivatives) are based on LIBOR. Once a day, a group of banks submit their offers – the high and lows are discarded, and the average becomes the LIBOR rate for the day. There are LIBOR groups for each major currency. The group of banks that decides dollar based interest rates are:
