1 PM today (Eastern) the world changes – it’s the expected announcement of the next generation iPhone – with a front facing camera to generate video of your face (Dick Tracy’s phone is finally here) and 4G compatibility (necessary for reliable streaming video). AT&T has made announcements supporting that scenario. There is also a leaked picture of a Bluetooth multi-touch touchpad – which would be useful for controlling a TV screen across the room similar to the way you control the iPhone/iPad. Along with the new phone we’ll see the updated phone O/S that supports doing more than one thing at a time – this is a biggie for radio streaming – you’ll no longer have to turn off the radio stream in order to check your email.
