GM is paying the mexican workers $ 26 a day ? Thats a little over $3 an hour, unless they are being paid $ 2 siesta time… I wonder if the UAW pays for sleeping on the job..?

Michael Savage picked up this story last night.
Back at the time George Bush overrode the Congress and did the first car company bailout, I made the point that GM is not an “American” car company, and people need to let go of the “FDR won WW2 by converting the car plants to make planes and tanks” notion – almost none of those plants exist any longer. We need to worry more about where electronic components for cruise missiles and avionics for airplanes are being made.
NAFTA has been embraced by the car business. Many of the “American” brands are assembled in Canada and Mexico and components made in places like Brazil. Many “foreign” brands like BMW, Toyota, Mazda are made in the United States. The difference is they are not UAW plants.
