Ron Paul is getting close to getting enough House Members to force an Audit (Bernanke basically told Congress to screw themselves when then asked him to provide information on which banks he was lending trillions of dollars to). HR 1207 is getting serious enough that the Fed is hiring a lobbyist, according to the WSJ

The WSJ doesn’t mention Ron Paul or the reason why, just describes who they hired.
(Who exactly is paying for the Fed to hire a lobbyist to lobby Congress?)
This may well be an issue in which Congress will show bipartisan support. Telling people in Congress that what you are doing with their money is “none of their business” is pretty unprecedented.
