It’s IOS4 day

Posted on June 21, 2010 by Art Stone

While the iPhone 4 isn’t here for a few days, existing iPhone/iPad users have access to the new version of the iPhone Operating System (IOS). This is a big deal for streaming radio over iPhone – no longer should you have to close out the audio stream in order to use other apps and check your email. IOS4 supports multitasking – which of the features works is dependent on which version of the iPhone/iPad you own.

I’ve clicked the install button. I’ll let you know if it turns the phone into a “brick”. I still have a “land line” just in case someone tried to call me for some obscure reason.

So far, so good. ooTunes doesn’t yet support background streaming… A flurry of app updates should happen in the next week.
