Tuesday night, John Batchelor had on Bruce Bechtol, the author of Red Rouge, a book about North Korea
on Amazon Mr Bechtol is retired military, spending part of his career in the DIA as an intelligence analyst.
What was alarming was he went through point by point how completely unprepared South Korea is to respond to a North Korean attack or launch a retaliation for the sinking of their war ship by a North Korean torpedo.
There are huge gaps in their capability without US participation (perhaps by design?)… So if you’re wondering why S Korea has been so passive, that could be why. Also, radiation detectors have picked up a gas that is a marker for nuclear related activity.
