A BART policeman has been convicted of unintentional manslaughter for killing a black man in the Bay Area while on duty responding to a fight. His defense was that he intended to use a taser and did not realize he had actually taken his gun out of its holster. The event was captured on video. Apparently, the jury in Los Angeles believed that account.
