Microsoft just “pushed” an “out of cycle” patch of a CRITICAL update that you’ll want to install ASAP. If you don’t allow Windows Update to automatically apply updates, please do a manual update now.
This flaw in Windows is not browser related – it has existed since the earliest versions of Windows and affects all version up through Windows 7. Just by visiting a web page, this flaw allowed an attacker to gain complete control of your system.
