In Health Care, the providers need to view their patient as the customer, not the insurance company (or the government)… and the patient has to bear at least some of the cost of their bad choices…. caller to Hannity had it exactly right, but Sean labelled what he was saying a bumper sticker slogan and went right back to the Heritage Foundation talking points. Hannity is such a dissapointment, and his steady decline in ratings show he is no Glenn Beck

I used to enjoy listening to Hannity. Then the Dems took Congress in 06. Since then, I can only think of one to describe him: shrill.

Yep, “shrill” is a good word. In his place on radio and because of the death of Teddy, Howie Carr has been much more on point lately. Also love Schnitt.
On Fox, Hannity is a one-note host with very little depth…the cooking channel is much more interesting.

Hannity is a host who’s long been ripe for some honest competition. A lot of the problem is that it’d be very difficult to get it. On the East Coast you’ve got local hosts in a lot of afternoon-drive slots (e.g. Carr), the ones that aren’t owned by Cox, Clear Channel or Citadel anyway (Hannity’s major station groups)… on the West Coast, Dr. Laura’s show, which isn’t overtly political, is still holding strong (for now).

Schnitt’s starting to get some traction nationally, which is good, and I’ve enjoyed what little I’ve heard from Jerry Doyle on TRN. Then, of course, there’s Lou Dobbs, who started off strong but we haven’t heard much from him lately.

BTW, right on about the health-care thing. I could go on and on about the inflationary effects of insurance that covers everything.
