A YouTube video put out by Second City (the folks from Chicago) went viral several weeks ago. It was taken at the Union organized rally in Washington DC the weekend prior to the election. It showed several people commenting on whether they thought Obama is a Keynesian. Notable were a woman dressed in red shrieking about “Won’t you people ever give up on that? He was born in Hawaii”… and a pot smoker who can difficulty putting a sentence together.
Well, Second City pulled that video, and is now complaining to YouTube when anyone reposts the video, claiming a copyright violation. You might want to grab a copy for posterity.
When I looked at the video, I thought it was odd in the first place. I subscribed to their channel for about 10 minutes, until I realized that all of their other videos were virulently anti Conservative / Republican / Tea Party. Obama claims the Second City as a home after all.
If it hasn’t sunk in “Keynesian” refers to the philosophy advocated by economist John Maynard Keynes – that the way to get out of recession is for government to spend money it doesn’t have to restart the economy – clearly the basis of President Obama’s plan for the economy. It has nothing to do with if he was born in Kenya :)
Giving them the benefit of the doubt, my guess is someone appearing in the video objected to the world seeing their stupidity, and Second City probably didn’t get permission to legally use their appearance.
Nevertheless, it exemplifies the dullard standard that put the preening amateur Obomber and the “progressive” Mandarins of the Senate and Congress in charge of the late great United States of America.
