Too bad for you Chuck Harder haters, and you know who you are….
He’s not on any radio stations – but he’s back on Talkstar’s network feed and Short Wave.

[He’s talking about President Bush’s out of control spending, so I’m thinking this may be old tapes, ala Art Bell’s Somewhere in Time]
This is not good news.
In January 1990, Chuck Harder agreed with a caller that the Jews were responsible for the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7, 1941 (Milwaukee Journal, January 9, 1990)
In April 1995, journalist Marc Cooper quoted Harder as saying that there was something called “Jewish greed,” and that “Greenbergs and Sheinbergs” controlled Wall Street (The Nation, April 10, 1991; The Weekly Standard, September 23, 1996).
Until someone comes up with a vaccine to combat the disease of anti-Semitism as cited above, we’ll just have to educate the masses as to the extreme danger of letting demagogues like Chuck Harder grab the reins of political power in the United States.
My one sentence description of Harder that I’ve used before on this blog – “when the Federal Building in Oklahoma City was blown up, Chuck Harder was the person the Democrats were accusing Rush Limbaugh of being”.
Harder hasn’t heard a conspiracy theory he couldn’t embrace. Take Alex Jones, stir in some Art Bell, the fringe from Huffington Post and multiply by a factor of three.
For the year before the OKC bombing, pretty much every day he was focused on the shooting of Randy Weaver and the situation that happened at Waco. He had whipped himself (and possibly some of the audience) into a frenzy that the Federal Government / Bill Clinton / Janet Reno were out of control and any day now were going to use the US military to round up Christians or people who opposed the New World Order – and someone needed to push back and teach them a lesson.
The only politician he thought highly of was H Ross Perot – he was fairly close to their campaign. Pat Choate was a frequent guest . At some point he was cozy with people in the labor unions when he was trying to buy the bankrupt UPI news service and being a vocal opponent of NAFTA.
The whole thing blew up in his face and he pretty much vanished from sight after that (to the extent he ever had a presence outside of the conspiracy community). At some point later, he was involved in a vehicle accident and was left paralyzed in a wheelchair. For a brief while, he made a comeback attempt trying to fight for disability rights.
Some of the things that were frequent topics on his shows (I heard him on a small AM station in the early 1990s).
– FEMA was organizing extermination camps
– Chem trails are a government operation to poison us all
– Bill Clinton’s brother and the CIA were using the air strip in Mena, AR to smuggle drugs into the country
– Vince Foster was murdered
– Bill Clinton was a puppet of the New World Order, and his support for NAFTA proved it
– the government has Black Helicopters they use to spy on us
I think he also was concerned about project HAARP and what its real purpose was – but my memory of that is less clear. Who runs which banks is only a tiny part of the ball of tangled theories that was Chuck Harder’s broadcast career. Just when you think he has vanished, his voice pops up again.
I don’t have any more to say about Chuck Harder, save for two things.
First, he is truly like the myriad cats he owns; he does indeed seem to have nine lives. He apparently has appointed himself Ambassador to America As It Must Be, and therefore will not go away anytime soon. In his mind, as he goes, so goes the good ole U. S. of A. He may be around in some capacity for at least the next 10 years.
The second point I’d like to bring up may mean nothing – or it may mean everything. I’m talking about his abysmal writing skills.
If you dare, go to Amazon, look up “Will We Ever Learn” (his one and only book), and click on the free preview link that comes up. Note all the spelling, punctuation, grammatical and logic errors that show up in the pages of his tome. Also note his tendency to write proper nouns in ALL CAPS (something that drives me crazy). I “hear tell” that he tried to get a professional editor to fix up his book and make it presentable, but the editor refused because there were so many mistakes in it – literally thousands of them – and the editor would’ve had to spend months (or years) cleaning it up.
I haven’t been able to reconcile Harder’s barely literate skills with his conspiratorial outlook; that task is for greater minds than mine. But this does not bode well for his intellectual capabilities. If Chuck Harder is a dummy, then that may not bode well for the rest of us who followed his nostrums and took them as gospel.
Do you have an opinion about George Noory?
Not really. Haven’t heard him on radio but did catch him on the Discovery Channel. He appears intelligent and rational, unlike …
In response to Tone…a commentator can be both objectionable and correct in his conclusions. Although this comment is way after your posting, I had to reply in that I was one of Chuck Harder’s biggest fans. Every “conspiracy” you cite I believe to different degrees – they are logical and reasonable conclusions, and the facts fit those conclusions. Preeminent among those is that the Clintons actually DID take down Chuck’s operation, as Chuck was the most effective critics of the Clinton’s rise to power. Not even Limbaugh came close to Chuck. The Clintons ARE responsible for the deaths of many, and I submit that the moderates and liberals among the posters that domninate this forum are guilty of the “Sifting Disorder”, that pernicious condition whereby the “thinker” conveniently filters out uncomfortable data that doesn’t support his premises. Chuck Harder is the grandfather of independent talk radio, and before the Clintons set out to destroy him was at one time #5 most popular talk show host nationwide. I miss him greatly, and his presence on affiliate radio is a monstrous loss. You may not have liked the core of his ideas, but his influence on independent political thinking has been seminal.
Anyone know what has happened to Chuck Harder?
He’s simply disappeared.
He went off the air in October 2009; afterward, he launched a campaign against Sound Exchange and after that, he got caught up in the December 21, 2012 end-of-the-world scare, where huge solar flares supposedly will strike Earth and knock out the power grid and all solid-state electronics (this has been debunked by NASA and other government and science Web sites).
His podcast (MP3) audio clips from 2008 and 2009 have been taken off Talk Star Radio’s Web site. You can still go to Good Politics Radio’s site and hear his shows from about mid-2005 to December 2006 (this includes his commentaries on Katrina).
This is very strange. Why would a man simply vanish? Why would he not want to let the public know of his whereabouts?
