“Social Justice” comes to the FCC

If you listen to Glenn Beck at all, you know how he hammers on the idea that “Social Justice” is just “code” for Marxism.

In about 3 weeks, the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council is having a meeting with many of the FCC bigwigs to discuss how to bring more social justice to communications.

Over the past few years, Clear Channel has “donated” some of its failing stations to this group in order to “promote diversity”, creating more racially segregated radio stations.

    Oh, to hell with merit, to hell with markets determining success. I’m tired of this crap – the world has become pretty much pointless to me.

      The total spending of all levels of government is currently about 43% of the entire GDP.

      Much of the rest is heavily regulated quasi-governmental entities like power companies, banks and insurance companies. The fight over “are we socialists” has been over for quite a long time.

    Somewhat related – the FCC has apparently decided under its new board that enforcing EEOC regulations is also a function of the FCC
