The Millennials

George Noory’s “best of” show that was running on WRGA-AM @ 12:23 AM (and other stations) had a guest named Neil Howe, author of “The Fourth Turning: An American Phophcy” talking about the problems of different generations Looking at the Coast to Coast site, this may have been a show from June 15th, 2010.

From a male caller born in 1988 with occasional psycho laughs…

“…I think there are a lot of ideas of dissension within my generation. A lot of my peers are very disllussioned with American Government because we’ve grown up with 24 hour news – at least I have and a lot of my friends have – seen the blunders and mishaps – “Oh, theyre doing that again”… [Guest: “So what do you want to replace it with?]… I’m thinking something a little more libertarian personally, but I mean, you got divides, you’ve got kids who’ve read all sorts of different things – they linked to different Wikipedia pages – the INternet has really changed the way people my age… people period… [Guest: Are you in college, do you have a career, do you have a job?]…. I have a career yeah, I work in the medical field. I took a few courses and I said “eh, college, no… I don’t want to do that”….

I was testing stations and didn’t hear if the caller was from Tucson… that seems highly improbable… but it may be a mistake to view the events of Saturday as a “lone wolf”
