Pull up a map of the Middle East.
Iran is reported to be sending ships to Syria through the Suez Canal. Iran has no border with Syria – to send anything from Iran you have to go through either Iraq or Turkey, or you go around the Arabian peninsula and through the Suez Canal. Egypt controls the land on either side of the canal.
The International Treaty signed in 1888 governing the Suez Canal states that:
The Suez Maritime Canal shall always be free and open, in time of war as in time of peace, to every vessel of commerce or of war, without distinction of flag.
That means that “warships” of Iran has just as much right to go through the Suez Canal as do American aircraft carriers. As a sovereign nation, Syria has a right to buy military arms and Iran has the right to sell them.
You may remember that one of President Barack Obama’s first acts was to propose ending the U.S. embargo against Syria, which he subsequently extended. If you have an even longer memory, you’ll remember that in 2007, Nancy Pelosi visited Syria without coordination with President Bush’s foreign policy team.
The ante just went up. Israel is making threats of an attack, which would be in international waters and legally indefensible under international law. No doubt this is a dry run to test the will of Israel, the new government in Egypt and the President of the United States. Once the precedent is set, more dangerous cargo will begin to be shipped.
And CNN thought the “freedom rally” in Cairo was about pretty flowers and puppy dogs and Egyptian women being able to listen to Lady Gaga?
The map alone should instruct. The eensy-teensy blue bit that looks like a fountain pen nib, that’s Israel, the brutes. The gray and the brown areas comprise lands of the Religion of Pieces. Shame … SHAME on Israel for picking on them!
The world is about to burn as our respective Nero’s resin up their fiddle strings. Dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells.
Is there ANY QUESTION that we are in (or at least entering into) the early days of WW3? If the idiots in Egypt grab power, as everyone dreads, and they push Israel into a corner, Israel will protect itself, and they will NOT pull ANY punches.
The clock is ticking. There is only 2 more years that Osama Hussein will be in office (hopefully), so these idiots know they have to do something within these next 2 years. So you know it’s coming. You can feel it accelerating, can’t you?
And you know what side Osama Hussein will be on, especially if they use ANY means to protect themselves. And when Israel wins (of course they will win, since they will be the only ones at a knife fight with guns), they need to take ALL this land back (like they did in the 6 Days War) and the next time NOT GIVE IT BACK.
Because from then on they will need the buffer zone.

The Iranian ships have names: the frigate Alvand and cruiser Kharg
The Alvand is a 1971 (pre Revolution) ship that was made in England. It can go 38 knots – its weapons include 4 Chinese made anti-ship missiles and 2 torpedo tubes. It’s most recent action was participating in the anniversary of the Sri Lankan Navy.
The Kharg is a German ship built in 1977 (pre revolution) and delivered in 1980 – it’s a support ship for the Alvand – it has a helicopter pad and machine guns, but is mainly a military cargo ship. Picture.

That piece of information draws a connection between President Obama’s forceful ouster of President Mubarak and the anger it has caused with the Saudi royal family. The Iranian naval vessels were allowed for the first time to stop in Jeddah, which is about half way up the Red Sea. Saudi Arabia in the past had urged the U.S. to attack Iran (See: Wikileaks) but now seems to be supportive of their actions (or perhaps scared of their own citizens)….
Or perhaps they are trying to suck up to Barack Osama so he won’t plot behind their back. (And scared of their own citizens also).
