A portion of the country’s population is in insurrection due to the tyranny of the leadership. The government has decided to use weapons to kill its own citizens. Other countries have frozen the assets of the country’s central bank. World leaders are meeting to try impose sanctions to stop the government from putting down the insurrection with force.
Oh, you thought I was to talking about Lincoln and the Civil war again?
Did our current Administration think ALL of these monarchs and dicatators would just step down? Mubarak’ s assets were frozen when he stepped down, so what is the motivator for a tyrant like Khaddifi to just step aside?
And if we are SO COMMITTED to Mideast freedom, then why aren’t we dropping crates of M-16s into Iran?
This is another indicator of just how naive and ill-prepared this group of Socialists in the White House are.
The ironies with Senator Obama and the War in Iraq and how George Bush handled it compared to President Obama demanding that leaders of sovereign nations step down (without even going to the U.N.) is pretty staggering, but don’t expect a lot of talk about that on NPR.
John McCain apparently didn’t get the memo to just shut up and let the Democrats self-destruct on being war mongers.
