Glenn Beck Book tour… Glenn mentioned it briefly on his show, no idea if he did any another promotion. 1,000 people were waiting in line in North Haven (CT) for him to show up at 8 PM (He didn’t show up until 9:30 PM) running late from other book signings.
Of course, the New Haven Register tried very hard to find eccentric wingnuts, and gave the 4 high school “protesters” their equal time.

The comments (127 as I write this) give you lots of ideas how just incurably liberal this area is
Dear Fred:
He was here in the Philly/Southern NJ area last Thursday night. I talked to the founder of the 9.12 Project for Cherry Hill/Collingswood (NJ) and she had gone to the event (at the Barnes and Noble in Cherry Hill.) She said about 1,000 people were there and that Beck shook everybody’s hand and signed all books presented for inscription (including hers.) The local paper for this area (the Courier Post, in Cherry Hill, which is a Gannett paper) didn’t cover the event but the Philadelphia Daily News did (at a similar book signing that same night in Exton, Pa.) You can read the story through philly.com, the Web site for both the Daily News and the Phila. Inquirer (both former Knight-Ridder papers, now locally owned by Philadelphians but in bankruptcy.) I would make a link to the story but I don’t know how to do that. Maybe you could make a link, Fred, ’cause you and others here know how to do things like that.
Here you go
Well, they covered the basics: His checkered past, the protestors outside, the Time article hit piece and the suggestion that the people were hicks who lived way far away from the city.
Sounds pretty fair and balanced to me…
Thanks, Fred.
