CNN reports

Lots of details. He isn’t getting the facts by listening to the BBC or reading anonymous twitter and blog posts.

The “rebels” are sounding more and more like the gangs in Somalia.

This town has a population of 100,000 – now it gets harder to keep civilians out of the way.

At this point, I don’t believe the claims that Qadaffi ordered his planes to bomb innocent civilians. If you think about it a bit, that same claim is made every time Israel bombs something in the West Bank or Gaza.

In Libya’s case, they are using crude Russian weapons and inexperienced pilots. I don’t have TV, so maybe there is damning evidence, but it sounds more like disinformation.

One of the people around Qadawfi was on official state TV asking to meet with the rebels to work out a resolution – which may include Qadaffi stepping down and leaving the country. The Rebels said “no”. It wasn’t a demand of surrender. One side wants to negotiate a resolution, the other side wants endless war

Where are the antiwar people on the left?
