To avoid any intellectual property issues, I used Census data and latitutde / longitude to assign stations to Metropolitan areas – so if you’re in the radio business, you’ll recognize right away I marched to my own drummer 8^P
I count 563 stations owned by the combined company. Some might be the stations owned personally by Mr Dickey that are not part of Cumulus. The NY Times says the combined company will be 572 stations. To compare, I count Clear Channel having 912 stations (they had been close to 1500 before they started selling off stations)
