Tokyo received 30 second warning of earthquake

One of the things I heard overnight was that for the first time, a new warning system worked in Japan. While earthquake waves move fast, the internet is faster.

Japan installed an automated system that in the event of a major quake, it sounds an earthquake alarm immediately around the country – giving people at least a few seconds warning that the Earthquake waves are about to hit, so power plants can shut down before they are hit, etc…
