Derry Brownfield has died at age 79

If you recognize the name, you’re probably a farmer, or live in a place with a lot of farmers.

Derry Brownfield has been on the radio for over 40 years, speaking “common sense” to middle America. Much of his “Common Sense Coalition” show was related to government agriculture policy and the various problems facing farmers, but he would also wander into other events of the current day.

Derry was co-founder of Learfield Coummincations, which is probably best known for its college sports broadcasting business.
