The US Census data for Detroit indicates that the city that peaked at close to 2 million peope now has only a little over 700,000 left.
About 15 yearns ago, Detroit was named as the best city in America by own of those green groups – major factors were negative population growth, and short commute times (freeways are empty during rush hour)
Job well done, Detroit! Coleman Young left quite a legacy.
Well, this sinkhole of a city certainly couldn’t be laid at the feet of the party Detroit has put in and kept in its government for half a century. Must be some kind of air borne virus, say, Braying Ass Disease.
Blame it on the Canadians.
If a major “green” group praised Detroit for its declining population and lack of rush hour traffic (duh – no one lives there or works there, so the only traffic is from muggers moving from one street corner to another), doesn’t that point to what their vision is for the rest of America?
