Hawaii’s answer to health insurance… NY Times story tries to make the case that Hawaii’s mandatory employer health insurance shows the way for some sort of national policy. One interesting statement in the article is that one reason Hawaiins live longer is they culturally are not inclined to use hospitals. Ouch.
Hawaii also has the world’s highest per capita consumption of Spam – the Hormel meat product became popular during WW2. President Obama should give out free Spam to all, and that would solve the health care issue, right?
