Part of wisdom is realizing just how much you don’t know.
Behold the “lost city” of Petra, located in Jordan.
This city was carved into the rocks in the first century AD, by the Nabataean kingdom – a pre-Islamic Arab civilization which was “annexed” by the Romans around 106 AD and dispersed. The city’s entrance sounds earily similar to the hidden city of John Galt.
Nearby is the Shrine to Aaron, the brother of Moses – built by Al Nasir Mohammad in the 13th century.
Indie, Don’t Cross the Great Seal with the Grail. just FYI.
Is that a movie reference?
Where have you been the last 20 years? :-)
Everyone knows that the “lost city of Petra” is located in the “Valley of the Crescent Moon”, where the last surviving Templar knight guarded the Holy Grail- at least until Indiana Jones was forced by the Nazis to lead them to it. (Ref: “Indiana Jones and the last Crusade”)
I haven’t watched TV at all since 1996.
References from works of fiction I won’t get for future reference:
TV shows: Friends, Seinfeld, Sex and the City, Sopranos, Survivors or any other reality TV show
Movies: Indiana Jones, ET, Star Wars (other than the first one), Lord of the Rings, Avatar, Spiderman, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, Star Trek (other than the first one), Chronicles of Narnia, Batman, Men in Black, the Matrix, Back to the Future, Toy Story, Transformers…. I have however seen Tie Me Up, Tie me Down and Goodbye, Lenin. I was one of the three people who ignored the advice from critics and went to see Tom Clancy’s The Sum of all Fears. They were right.
It’s beautiful isn’t it?
I heard they recently discovered Barry Osamma’s Birth certificate in there. LOL.
