The top priority of the brand new government in Egypt is to make participation in a protest a crime punishable by a year in prison.

Weird, the Western press don’t seem to know or care.
Couple of interesting developments today. Joe Lieberman is already talking up war #4 (this time with Syria)

Also, you can read an interesting analysis of how Obama’s “war” in Libya is creating division with NATO and driving Turkey even more into the arms of Russia/Iran as well as endangering US ties with Turkey (upon which we are highly dependent for military logistics in the region).

You know, if we keep getting involved in “kinetic action” or “UN sanctioned interventions” with Muslim countries (see above reference to Syria) then they might believe we have a problem with them.
I wish there was some way that U.S. citizens could just shut off the money for all this interventionist undeclared war nonsense. The problem is that when tax receipts fall dramatically (indicating that the government is doing something moronic), Congress just blithely creates a trillion dollars or so out of thin air so that they can keep on digging the hole deeper.
We could have a constitutional ammendment that says that Congress must declare War… Oh… yeah…
Declaring war is so 20th century
