So today’s big news about Libya is that President Obama signed a “finding” several weeks ago, authorizing covert action inside of Libya. It turns out the designated “leader” of the “Rebels” is one Khalifah Hifler, a CIA operative going back 25 years who was “turned” during the Libya war with Chad.
So now it is in plain sight that the “Rebels” and the 1,000 flickering mercenaries are actually part of a Western intelligence operation. I’m shocked, I tell you. The “Popular support” for the Libyan uprising will now end in 3…2…1….
It’s been about 12 hours, and not a peep from Al Jazeera to the Arab Street. Since they were leading the charge of the revolutions, the Arab Street is going to wonder if Al Jazeera was duped by the West, or is a willing partner. Hillary Clinton did say they were a useful news organization, after all.
Well, look here:
Youtube – the opening shots of the Libyan revoluation
After a month, Al Jazeera suddenly has film of the original “Qadaffi mercenaries shooting protestors”. In the description, Al Jazeera say they “appear to be Qadaffi Loyalists”…
You mean we don’t even know if the trigger for this whole “war” might have actually been done by the Rebels themselves to stir up anti-Qadaffi sentiment??? (which is what Qadaffi said all along…) It wouldn’t be the first “false flag” attack in history of clandestine warfare.
I wonder if we’re going to see that proof that Sarkozey’s political campaign was bankrolled by Libya any time soon….
The “rebels” are apparently high tailing it all the way back to Benghazi. They quickly blew by the two oil depots at Ra’s Lanuf and Breda and gave up Ajdabiya about 14 hours ago. I think they have figured out that they were chumps duped by the CIA. It sounds like Misrata is within a day or two of falling back to government control.
The only real question at this point is what Qadaffi does with Benghazi. My guess is he’ll move his troops to Ajdabiya and set up a strong defensive position and wait for the world to react to the Wednesday news and see if the EU and NATO have lost their taste for blood.
One scenario John Batchelor has alluded to would be that Qadaffi would call for elections and his son would run for leader. John and his guests believe the son would win an easy victory. That undercuts any notion of “fighting for Democracy” when there is a Qadaffi that is elected by an internationally supervised election.
So who is going to pay reparations to Libya once this is all over?
