Wall Street Journal comes to evenings

The Wall Street Journal has launched an evening program called “The Daily Wrap”.  The first show was Monday April 4th, 2011.    So far, KLIF is the only affiliate I’ve found.

I think this is a really good concept.   Based on the listener activity here, few people listen to the show in the morning.   They may listen in the car on the way to work, but not when they have a choice to listen to other things.    In the evening, as people are trying to absorb what happened during the day, they may be more receptive to this as an alternative to listening to Savage and Levin snipe at each other.

They say you only get one chance to make a first impression. What I heard tonight was two young guys talking about how Elvis died on a toilet and what a bad way that would be to die. They sounded like clueless morning “zoo” music DJs, not someone who could explain what an interest rate swap is.
