“C” is for China

About a week ago, I wrote that WAGE-AM in the Washington DC market was about to return to the air as WCRW-AM. I was hoping that stood for Conservative Radio Washington.

I couldn’t have been more wrong. WCRW will be the Beltway outlet for China Radio International, the official propaganda radio service of the government of Communist China.

Welcome your new global overlords.

What happened to the streaming radio guide?

    Is streamingradioguide.com gone now???
Can’t find the stations listing pages anymore.
I hope your site is not going away as I’ve yet to find a site as suitable
for a talk radio junkie as yours is.

I tried to access and all I can see is this blog.

So what do you think about China taking over a radio station in our nation’s capital? Would China allow Voice of America to have a radio station in Beijing?

  3. JayMar says:

The only way China would allow the VoA in Beijing is if it is going to be manned by Comrade Obama’s personal buddies.

    • TheChairman says:

If you’ve listened or picked up VoA on shortwave recently, you’d be convinced that it IS being run by ‘comrade Obama’.

Nothing but FDR era tripe (it seems)… no wonder illegals come here and vote ‘D’.

I am a little surprised at China making such a bold move as this. I kind of thought they would have bought the station through a string of shell companies and then manipulated the programming to promote their “pro-China” message which is probably “keep spending, we’ll keep buying your debit and eventually we will own you…”

BTW… I do like SRG. I use on in a regular basis and try to contribute with testing when I can. My corporate firewall does funky things which messes with a few streams so I don’t report many broken links that I find because it’s usually the firewall and not the stream itself…

Why not? Press TV regularly gets a lot of play in this country, and our sec. of state is on the record saying that Al-Jazeera is “real news” compared to our outlets.

Beck was talking today about the connections between Al Jazeera and the White House. The two dots he didn’t connect are that Al Jazeera is owned by the government of Qatar, not “some guy”. Since Qatar is taking the lead in propping up the “Rebel/CIA” government in “Free” Libya, it all makes sense once you see the big picture.

I see it being similar to a situation with a frog and boiling water. If you drop him in, he will jump out but if you put him in a pot of cold water and heat it to boiling, he will never notice the difference…
